Aisha Jamila Hinds was born in America, and is most well-known for her performance in The Shield. Ever since her debut in 2003 she has proved her ability in the role of actress with stunning performances on television shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was in 2005 due to the role of Anna that was in Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her portrayal of women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind received praise for portraying Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television have renewed the series' third season.
